Who owns First Wealth Financial Group?

Breton Williams is the founder and CEO. The company has always been a family owned and operated entity. Breton is committed to keeping First Wealth an owner-operated business, and is grooming the future owners, current employees to gradually step into ownership over the next several years.

How is First Wealth Financial Group compensated?

We charge a fee on our managed accounts, we are compensated with finders fees on other products and we receive commissions and renewals on certain insurance related products – commissions paid by the insurance company, not the client. We do not charge a fee for any planning. We believe in giving first. Potential clients need to see the value and expertise we bring before engaging us financially. Our no-obligation and no cost planning provides that opportunity for clients to learn about our expertise and the value we deliver.

Is First Wealth Financial Group both a wealth management and investment manager? What is the difference?

We provide both investment management and wealth management services. Investment management is done in-house. Today, that is very unusual, most firms farm their investment work out. Our clients appreciate being able to meet face to face with the professionals making the investment moves in their portfolio. Our clients don’t have to settle for second hand information. Others do when the investment management is provided by outside managers. Wealth management – is the effective strategic and tactical expertise applied to maximize performance and results, while properly minimizing risk for a client. We do not hold clients wealth, we manage it.

What tools does First Wealth Financial Group utilize to help bring deeper clarity and understanding to clients?

We utilize several exclusive models including: Our Asset and Income Model is a powerful way to see the risk on asset allocation on investments and the risk on the retirement income – something that retirees need to track, or it catches them off guard. Retirement Model is a tool that assures the client doesn’t miss any aspect in their retirement planning, and their plan stays current and up to date. All of our clients benefit from this tool in their review appointments. Additionally, we utilize the following third party evaluation tools including: MorningStar provides a deep analysis of investments, such as mutual funds. This is a great tool to compare client’s current portfolio and a First Wealth Financial Group portfolio to see the true technical differences. Riskalyze provides a higher level comparison of investments, in an overview format and is a great tool to run scenarios to confirm how our portfolio may do in a recession versus your current portfolio. Aladdin is a deep, powerful tool that allows us to stress test investments. We utilize the following customized planning tools: First Wealth Financial Group Smart Retirement Booklet is a four page tool that allows you to see what your retirement income will look like compared to your current working income and verifies what your retirement income needs to be. First Wealth Financial Group Retirement Income Summary is a two page tool that will demonstrate if your retirement income is sustainable for 30 years. This is the tool that we use to demonstrate the impact of buying a second home, the impact of funding a new retirement hobby such as buying a motor home and traveling five months a year for five years, etc., and verifies if your retirement goals and investments are sustainable. First Wealth Financial Group Pension Analysis Tool helps to answer the question of which pension option is best. This includes the lump sum option many companies are offering First Wealth Financial Group Tax-Free Estate demonstrates how to leave a larger tax-free estate. Some clients want to leave a sizable portion of their estate to a non-profit, their church, charity or their Alma-mater and still leave the original estate to their family. This tool quickly demonstrates how that may be possible. Wealth Vision allows clients a live look at all accounts in one spot, under one password. Can I do this myself? Why do I need an advisor?
